ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic practice is informed by my interest in material culture studies. Drawing inspiration from my surroundings, my work explores the Black experience and culture within Philadelphia - as well as the greater diaspora. Using material culture, objects made by man, as a way of learning and understanding, I consider many ideas through a process of arts based research.
